Economic Benefits of being Pet-Friendly

Operators shouldn’t overlook the impact that their pet policies and amenities can have on their efforts to attract new residents. After all, we are a nation of pet lovers: 70 percent of U.S. households own a pet, according to the American Pet Products Association.

Non-profit organizations Michelson Found Animals Foundation and the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI) today announced the release of a new Pet-Inclusive Housing Initiative (PIHI) Report, outlining the path to creating more than 8 million new pet-friendly rental homes.
