LIVEbe, a premier apartment developer and operator dedicated to delivering distinct apartment homes within connected communities, today announced that The Remy Phase II, a contemporary community located in the emerging Harkins District, is rapidly filling up after opening its doors in late January.
The Remy Phase II, which joins the fully leased original phase that opened in 2017, is already 23% occupied and 45% leased less than two months after first move-ins. The community is distinctive in that it is one of the area’s only pet-free apartment buildings, in contrast to the bordering original phase, which does allow pets.
“Much excitement and anticipation has surrounded the opening of Phase II, and we’re thrilled to see the community filling up at such a brisk pace,” said Elaine De Lude, vice president of LIVEbe. “Residents of both communities can access the amenity spaces at each building, so our existing residents share the enthusiasm that they essentially now have two of everything. Situated at 7700 Harkins Road approximately midway between Baltimore and Washington, D.C., The Remy Phase II features 268 apartment homes and a variety of deluxe features, including oversized windows to maximize the presence of natural light.
While the amenity spaces of The Remy Phase II—including a resort-style saltwater pool, two courtyards and movie screening room—complement the rooftop lounge, hydrotherapeutic saltwater pool, gamer’s gallery, telecommuting spaces and additional offerings of the original phase, the pet policies at each building are the biggest differentiator.
“We understand the importance of pet-friendliness and certainly are pet lovers ourselves,” De Lude said. “We also recognize that pets don’t fit into the lifestyle of every resident, and some desire to live in a pet-free building. With two distinct communities, we are able to cater to both types of residents and provide each with the precise living experience that they desire.”
In addition to a deluxe suite of amenities and refined apartment features, The Remy Phase II sits in a commuter-friendly location. Residents have near-immediate access to the New Carrollton Station, which provides access to Baltimore, Washington, D.C., New York and Philadelphia via Amtrak and Metrorail. The MARC train, Amtrak and key commuter vessel Interstate 95/495 are all easily accessible from the community, as well.
