Engrain and Jonah Power Improved Price Transparency on Multifamily Websites

by Darcey Leach

Engrain, the leader in interactive touring, mapping and data visualization software for the built environment, today announced it has partnered with Jonah, a leading provider of integrated websites for the multifamily industry, to launch the next generation of multifamily websites that prioritize renter trust, transparency and usability. To date, over 1,000 websites featuring all-in pricing have already gone live, with many more in active development.

These newly enhanced websites integrate fee transparency best practices and a dynamic pricing calculator directly into the renter experience, helping to reshape how pricing information is communicated across the leasing journey.

“We’re at an inflection point in the apartment industry,” said Brent Steiner, CEO of Engrain. “Transparency isn’t just a feature—it’s the foundation of trust. This collaboration redefines the standard for how properties communicate with prospective renters online.”

Key Features of the Enhanced Website Experience:

Interactive Property Maps via SightMap, enabling renters to explore availability, pricing, and immersive media at the unit level.

Structured Fee Transparency, presenting all recurring and one-time fees clearly within the shopping experience – not just at lease signing.

Integrated Pricing Calculators, helping renters understand true monthly costs using real-time data.

Seamless Content Aggregation, bringing together virtual tours, floor plans, photos, and application links in one renter-friendly interface.

The launch marks a significant step forward for the multifamily industry, delivering a streamlined and straightforward leasing experience to renters while providing operators greater efficiency, higher quality leads and enhanced brand trust. It also sets a new industry standard – offering a scalable model for how digital platforms can support transparency and regulation-readiness.

“Digital leasing isn’t just about aesthetics – it’s about empowerment,” said Yuri Star, CEO of Jonah. “These websites create a frictionless journey where renters feel informed and in control, and operators can reduce the support burden while improving conversions.”

The collaboration will be featured in the upcoming AIM Conference[1]  session “The New Standard: Building Transparent and Engaging Multifamily Websites,” where Steiner, Star and other industry speakers will explore the design thinking, data strategy and renter-first philosophy behind this initiative.
