Aging in Place: How to Meet Growing Demand

The silver tsunami of aging residents continues uninterrupted with the over-65 population of 46 million predicted to grow to nearly 100 million by 2060. Annual surveys over the last decade by the AARP have consistently shown that about 80% of people 50 or older want to remain in their homes as they age. Some of these properties are multifamily communities, pushing owners and operators to examine if they’re prepared for the changes in demographics.
Adam Nuemann Gears Up to Launch Flow’s First Community

Fannie Mae Sees Milder Housing Downturn

Fannie Mae has scaled back its November prediction of the decline of multifamily housing starts. The December report revises the number of multifamily starts for 2024 higher by 6,000 units to 363,000 units. Changes were also made to the forecast for starts in 2025, which was revised by 3,000 units to 372,000 units.
